We are a small farm located in Central Michigan, here I maintain and keep a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats and one lone Saanan Doe. I got my first goats in 1999 and made the same mistake most newbies do.. I purchased two mixed breed does with no health history or care. I have long since learned that it cost the same amount of money to feed a registered doe as it does  an unregistered doe and alot less money to care for one that has been vaccinated, wormed and cared for in the best possible way.  So you may think you are saving alot of money buying that 25.00 dollar goat, in the end you will spend more money..That being said, I maintain a milking herd and am currently on DHIR, concentrating on genetics that give me good milkers. We keep up on vaccinations, testing for CAE and a good general managment plan here. We have never had a case of CL here, we are CAE free. Thank you for looking at our web site and we welcome you to stop over for a visit to see our small milking does.. Please give us a call first as we are a working farm and often busy with trimming hooves etc.. I can better accomodate you if you give me the time to plan your visit. Please excuse the lousy pics of my does, I am not a good photographer at all. I am trying to get better pictures of them that represent them better. Make sure you visit my soap page and get yourself a bar of wonderful goat milk soap, it also makes great gifts for that someone that has everything.
Just got back our 2012 test results for CAE and our herd is negative..
March 10,2012 A couple of my lovely does made the Michigan Honor Roll DHIR list.. for milking ablilites.
